I just finished reading When Faith Fails by Oregon author Dominic Done. This local author brilliantly describes the growth that can come from leaning in to doubt in healthy ways. He weaves the hipster coffee culture of the Pacific Northwest with personal stories and the diverse thoughts of a wide range of authors from ancient scholars to modern day comedians. He cites Mother Teresa, Nietzche, C.S. Lewis and Lisa from The Simpsons in a way that makes this age old topic alive and relevant. He argues for vigorous healthy engagement with doubt so that readers can better understand their deepest longings. He gives practical examples of how to grow in relationship with God and live better today!
